Common Renovation Jobs
Most renovation electrical is kitchen and bathroom work, or people adding granny flats and extensions. I also do a lot of switchboard upgrades that go hand-in-hand with renos.
Ellenbrook Renovations
A lot of Ellenbrook homes are 10-15 years old now — the age where kitchens and bathrooms get updated. The original electrical is usually fine, but layouts change and appliance loads increase.
I can work with your builder or handle owner-builder renovations directly. Either way, getting electrical planning done early saves money and delays.
Renovation Electrical FAQs
When should I get you involved in a renovation?
As early as possible. I can work with your builder or do the electrical planning before you start. Last-minute electrical changes during a reno always cost more and cause delays.
Can I do electrical work myself during a DIY reno?
No. All electrical work in WA must be done by a licensed electrician. Even moving a power point or adding a light requires a licence. I can do the electrical while you handle the rest.
Do I need to upgrade my switchboard for a renovation?
Often yes, especially for kitchen renos. Modern kitchens have more appliances drawing more power. I'll assess your switchboard early and let you know if it needs upgrading before the reno starts.
