Common Appliance Jobs
Most appliance work comes after kitchen renovations or when people upgrade from gas to induction. I also do a lot of new-home appliance fit-outs after handover.
Ellenbrook Kitchens
A lot of newer Ellenbrook homes were built with gas cooktops. When people upgrade to induction, I need to run a new circuit from the switchboard — the existing gas point doesn't have the capacity.
I can usually do cooktop installs the same week if the switchboard has spare capacity. If it needs an upgrade, I'll let you know before starting.
Appliance Installation FAQs
Can I install my own oven or cooktop?
No. In WA, hardwired appliances like ovens and cooktops must be installed by a licensed electrician. It's not just about the connection — it's about making sure the circuit can handle the load and the installation is safe.
Do I need a new circuit for my induction cooktop?
Usually yes. Induction cooktops draw significant power (often 7-8kW) and typically need a dedicated circuit. I'll check your switchboard capacity and let you know what's needed before starting.
What should I send for a quote?
Photos of the appliance (or a link to the product page), photos of where it's going, and a photo of your switchboard. That gives me everything I need to quote accurately.
